Weeds - Trefoil
This page covers two similar plants. I don't know if they're related, but they look similar.
The green leaved plant was grown from a packet of seeds labelled Shamrock, bought in Dublin. The packet said that it was hard to germinate shamrock outside Ireland. I can only assume that these aren't shamrock, as they have run riot in my garden! They are now officially a weed. Both leaves and flowers (yellow) are quite attractive, but it seeds like crazy, so I am trying to remove it before flowering.
The brown leaved plant is an oxalis, I think. I enjoy the contrast between the brown leaves and bright yellow flowers. However, it has explosive seed pods, so the seeds get everywhere! So I oscillate between removing it wherever I see it, and leaving some growing between the paving stones.
