Previous king: Henry IV (father) Reigned: 1413-1422 Next king: Henry VI (son)
Henry V quarelled over politics with his father Henry IV. When Henry V became king, he managed to keep the peace within England, by restoring lands and titles to those who had lost them under the civil wars with his father.
Henry V then invaded France. He defeated the French, particularly at Agincourt, where the Welsh archers killed the French cavalry. Henry was made heir to the French throne, but died before inheriting it. This is part of the Hundred Years War.
