Design a knitting pattern - Multi-coloured
This page is for designing patterns for stocking stitch. This can use several colours. You knit with the colour which shows on the front at this point, and leave the other colours at the back of the knitting. They tend to cause loops. You can avoid this by taking the wool you're working with round the back of these wools, which are then kept in place better. (But that does slow you down!)
This technique is very flexible, so this page allows to to design any pattern for your chosen number of colours. You can have up to six, that that would be quite unwieldy to knit! Click on a square for a different colour to the current one, and carry on clicking to cycle through the colours.
You can alter width and depth.
