Artist: John Fairburn
Date: 1795
Nationality: British
Pillow: bolster, on lacemaker's lap.
Bobbins: can't see, but they look stick-like
Comments: I don't like the slope of her lap! There seems to be a stool for her to rest her feet on. She is working outside, which lacemakers often did, as the light was better.
