Nationality: British (my assumption!)
Pillow: can't see much, domed, surely not on the lacemaker's lap as too close to her face.
Bobbins: stick-like, spangled.
Comments: I'm assuming that the artists is British from the name. The painting is such a close-up that you can't see much, but you can see the lace!
