Measure out the butter and and put in a saucepan to meelt them together. Don't cook them too much or the butter will burn.
Measure out , sugar and spices, and add to the melted butter and golden syrup. Mix into a dough.
Line the baking tin with baking paper (this is optional). Put small spoonfuls of dough onto the tray, and flatten slightly. Don't put them too close together, although they don't spread too much.
Put the tins in the oven. This needs to cook for about 10 minutes. They are done when they go brown on top.
Leave them on the tray until cool, before removing them.
