Measure out the ground almonds and sugar. Mix the egg to stick it together..

I suspect that the ground almonds need to be as fine as possible. I gave bought ground almonds a whizz in the food processor. I used icing sugar for the same reason.
This was a bit sloppy. It needs something to bind it together, but eggs come quantised! Possibly you could use milk. Even so, I'm not sure this could be used to put under icing, or make marzipan fruits. I used it for a stollen.
