Elizabeth his wife who died ye 20th Sept 1749 aged 80.
Clement son of Thomas & Elizabeth Edkins of Newnham who died ye Mar 28th 1755 aged 49 years.
Honoured Parents, Dutifull Son and Loving Brother dear,
God took from hence all three lie buried here
Also Esther daughter of the above who departed this life the 30th May 1798 aged 13 years.
Likewise Smith their son who died the 31st Jul 1803 aged 15 months.
While I with husband and 12 children did remain
In my last days I suffer'd grief and pain
In God I trust he will to me be kind
And prosper them which I have left behind.
Afflication sore long time I bore
Physicians were in vain
Till death did seize and God did please
To free me from my pain.

We left this world in blooming years
Likewise our friends in floods of tears
For we were called in our prime
There dear friends prepare in time
The morning sun on us arose
At night we took our last repose
Let our quick fate a warning be

to Samuel Edkins, brother of the said Adam, and Anne, his wife,
of lands called Simon's Close, etc. in Wilmecott, in satisfaction of a bond for £70.
Articles between Clement Edkins, senior, of Newnham, yeoman,
and Clement Edkins, junior, his son, on the one part
and Elizabeth Smith of Wilmcott, widow of John Smith
and Anne Smith, her daughter on the other part,
for the settlement of lands in Wilmcott, late belonging to the said John Smith,
on the marriage of Anne Smith his daughter to Clement Edkins, junior.
Lease for a year from Elizabeth Smith of Wilmcote in Aston Cantlow, widow,
and Anne Edkins of Shelfield in Aston Cantlow widow, his daughter,
to William Tibbatts, junior, of Henley in Arden, gent.,
and Samuel Munger of Shelfield, yeoman,
of a messuage and lands in Wilmcote late belonging to John Smith,
late husband of the said Elizabeth.
Conveyance by the same to the same of the messuage and lands as above,
in trust for the use severally of the said Elizabeth Smith and Anne Edkins for life
with remainder to Smith Edkins, son of the said Anne, and his heirs for ever.
