The following information has come from family papers:
Cranston 20th Oct. 1828
That ADAM GORDON GEDDES Esq., Tenant of Airfield, in this Parish, and Miss MARION FAULDS, Daughter of the late ANDREW FAULDS Esq. in the Parish of Peebles, have been three times proclaimed in the Parish Church of Cranston, in oreder to Marriage, and no objections have been offered, is certified by (signed) Robert FORSTER Session clerk Peebles Oct 23rd 1828. The above mentioned parties were this day married by (signed) J.ELLIOT Minsiter of Peebles
THere is a proposal of Marriage between ADAM GORDON GEDDES residing in the Parish of Cranston, and MARION FAULDS residing in the Parish of Peebles, of which Proclamation is hereby made for the third time.
At Peebles 20th Day of Oct. 1828
It is hereby certified that the above mentioned Parties have been three time proclaimed in order to Marriage in the Parish Church of Peebles, and that no objection have been offered.

Adam Gordon Geddes born 9th Oct 1790 died at Edinburgh 3rd May 1861 aged 70 7/12 years. Buried in Calton burial ground (flat stone).
