These are various written accounts of birthdays of the descendents of Andrews Geddes (1834-1888) and Emily Jane Geddes nee Eckford (1839-1932).
The following gives various information about the children of Andrew and Emily Geddes.
This seems to be the earliest, as Gwendoline (born 1883) is called "Baby".
This gives which day of the week that they were born on. On the other side is the rhyme which is supposed to give the person's character!
I have no idea why this dance card was lovingly kept!
The following gives the grandchildren of Andrew and Emily Geddes. It doesn't give their parents names, but that can be deduced from surnames, or dates. It includes my father John Frederick Dibblee.
This gives more information, where they were born. D.C.Geddes is Diana Catherine Geddes.
This covers both the children and grandchildren of Andrew and Emily Geddes. I presume that Diana Geddes found the information in a jewellers, and made a note of which stone might be suitable for her relatives. She may have also found another list somewhere, since several have two stones, and "ruby" is mentioned, which isn't on the list. I suspect that this has long been a jewellers selling technique!
