Maltese lace mat
This mat is made of two pieces stitched together, an outer piece with the flowers, and an inner piece including the corners.
There are flowers with petals made from tallies. There are twisted pairs connecting things. The corners have more flowers made of tallies. There are no plaits, even in the headside.
This piece is too big to fit in my scanner (which is how I am reproducing the lace) so I can only show pieces of it on the right. The entire piece is photographed below to show its shape.
