English Maltese lace mat
This has the Maltese cross in the centre, but it is made of white cotton, rather than the normal cream silk of genuine Maltese lace, so it may be English Maltese. It is made of three pieces stitched together, an outer piece with the flowers, then the piece with the leaves, and a central piece with the Maltese cross.
The Maltese cross is in cloth stitch. Then there are leaves made from tallies surrounded by Torchon ground. The edge has flowers with tally petals.
