Bedfordshire mat
This is a mat mat with lace corners and a little drawn work. The headside looks rather like Maltese lace and the tallies are Maltese shaped, so it's probably Bedfordshire Maltese.
There are legs in the headside. There are leaves made of tallies, and half stitch areas, with raised tallies.
This piece is too big to fit in my scanner (which is how I am reproducing the lace) so I can only show part of it on the right. The entire piece is photographed below to show its shape.
