Lace collar
This lace is not conventional needle lace, as the brides are not made of buttonhole stitch. Instead, a thread is just wound round and round. The solid areas look a bit like cloth stitch in bobbin lace. It may be made with a needle, by hand.
This piece is too big to fit in my scanner (which is how I am reproducing the lace) so I can only show part of it on the right. The entire piece is photographed below to show its shape. The ends are cut off.
