Machine lace edging

This is an imitation of a bobbin lace edging (bought new in 2012 for £3 a metre). But various parts are made in a different way, which shows that this is machine lace.

Machine lace edging

Reasons why this is machine lace

Machine lace - half stitch

This is the half stitch near the headside. There are diagonal threads similar to bobbin lace. However, the other thread is vertical rather than horizontal.

Machine lace - footsides

This footside has a single thread as a passive, and the other threads are often single as well, rather than pairs.
