Machine lace edging

This is an imitation of a bobbin lace edging (bought new in 1993 at 32p a yard). But various parts are made in a different way, which shows that this is machine lace. The half stitch has a thread parallel to the edges, rather than across them.

This is the half stitch near the headside. There are diagonal threads similar to bobbin lace. However, the other thread is vertical rather than horizontal.

This footside has a single thread as a passive, and the other threads are often single as well, rather than pairs.
