Russian lace collar

This collar is Russian lace, a tape lace. There are flowers with petals made from tallies, and trails or tapes, which are joined to previous parts of the lace as it is worked.

This was bought on eBay. It was described as "Antique blue Russian bobbin lace collar late 19th / early 20th century."

This collar is too big to fit in my scanner (which is how I am reproducing the lace) so I can only show part of it to the right. The entire collar is photographed below to show its shape.
