Bedfordshire lace - part of collar
This looks as if it is part of a collar. One end has just been cut off. It is made of four pieces of Bedfordshire lace (of three different designs) stitched together. The edge piece is gathered to go round the corner - it was worked as a straight edging.
There are cloth stitch areas with raised tallies on top. There are ordinary tallies as well, and cloth stitch trails. There are flowers with cloth stitch petals surrounded with gimps. Joining things are legs decorated with picots, and simple twisted pairs.
