I don't know much about lace from United States of America, but what I do know is on this page. Please contact me to point out mistakes!
Language: English (plus others, of course)
A correspondent contacted me about Oneida lace. She sent me a photo of this piece of lace:
She said:
I am trying to work out the pattern from some lace that was in a local Native American museum.
After most of the Oneidas were removed from New York to Wisconsin a socialite missionary started a Lace School and the funds helped tribal women. The last of those trained in the "school" passed away about 1975.
I thought that the headside, in particular, reminded me of Cluny lace.
This is my attempt at the pattern:

The red is Cluny edge, using cloth stitch and twist. The green are large spiders using cloth stitch. They are joined with plaits or twisted pairs. The blue is half stitch, pin, half stitch. There is a twisted footside.
