Tiny diamond

Torchon tiny diamond

A large amount of ground can be boring. Sometimes lace has occasional small dots to break this up. The conventional way to do this is using small tallies, but tallies are tricky! This is something that I attempted as a substitute. Originally I didn't think that it worked, but later, looking back at the lace, I found that it wasn't too bad. See pattern 40.

It is a tiny 2X2 cloth diamond, worked conventionally. However, a 2x2 diamond does look strange.

You might prefer a dot instead. Or, of course, attempt a tally.
