Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
There are some grey lines joining different parts of the pattern, such as the heart and the scallop. The pairs need to be twisted between the pins. Sometimes this happens naturally as they leave the previous shape. But if not, give them an extra twist.
This pattern begins and ends with some extra Torchon ground to make a neat start and finish. It is quite a short pattern. If you wish to make it longer, print several copies, cut across these in the same place, and stick them together with tape.
The pattern is supposed to be one zigzag on top of another. But I think that the underneath zigzag is so broken up that it looks like hearts! Pattern 24 has another approach.
