This is mundillo, or lace from Panama. Click here for more patterns.
These patterns are large scale, to show where the colours go. Reduce the pattern size, if you wish. There are coloured 'blobs' at the top and bottom of the patterns, showing where which coloured pair starts where (which is very important!) I have put these at both ends, so you can work the pattern either the British way, or the other way round.
Patterns:
Bobbins: 8 pairs (6 white, 2 purple, or 4 white, 2 purple, 1 green, 1 yellow)
Style: Torchon
Stitches:
half stitch
cloth stitch and twist
Details:
rose ground (grey, green and pink)
Winkie pin twisted footside (grey)
Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. These are both the same pattern, but using different colours. The second pattern have the passives of the Winkie pin twisted footside as different colours. This is always a good way to add extra colour to a pattern!
I am not quite sure about this one! The picture is not very clear. But I think it is essentially a line of rose ground. However, there are no holes where the pins go. So I think that it's rose ground worked without pins. There are pins at the edge, and on the next row in, which anchor the stitch. But the lack of pins in the middle mean that the threads just cross each other without a hole where they cross, and the two pairs on each side draw close together. I have given the normal pins for rose ground - use them or not as you wish.
