Description:
Click on the links above to see how to do the different stitches and techniques. The colours show which coloured threads are used (although you could do it all the same colour if your wish). You use double Torchon ground where the coloured threads change direction, and Torchon ground where they continue in a straight line.
I have used the plaited rose ground for the rose ground (using two cloth stitch and twist on top of each other for the crossovers - this makes little plaits). This makes the roses look more rounded, with a slightly wider gap round.
