A snowflake using Beds lace techniques. I found the tying off tricky. It might be easier on a larger scale. I made the worker pair for the cloth stitch and the 4 inner pairs silver, and the rest gleamy. I have done a simpler version of this pattern, which I think is better. It's certainly easier to tie off! See pattern 593.
Pattern:

Bobbins: 18 pairs (5 pairs silver, rest gleamy)
Style: Beds
Size: 2.5 inches across
Stitches:
plaits
picot
joining four pairs (lazy join)
crossing 2 pairs and 1 pair
trail
bud
twist pair
Starting and finishing a mat
Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
The seprate diagram shows where the pairs start. In fact, I started them in slightly different places, which did NOT help tying off!
