I do enjoy experimenting with lace. There are not always successful, but some turn out all right. Here are my efforts:
Hexagonal or pentagonal mats - mats are usually square, but they don't have to be!
Helix (3-D spirals) - make a roundel, but keep going...
Wiggles - you do a corner one way, then the other...
Variable grid - Torchon lace as you've never seen it before...
Other shapes - a scallop shell, an angel, mathematicasl patterns ...
Patterns such as twists, Celtic knots and Greek keys
