Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
The start has a point, so uses false pins.
When working pattern 170 (my first attempt at star ground), I noticed that the direction of threads through the ground was very controlled. I thought the ground looked like little stars, which was why I called it star ground (I'm not sure what its proper name is!) So the next step, obviously, was to see if I could get those stars to be gold against a dark blue background! I think this is quite successful. You do need to start the coloured pairs in the right place. The pattern shows where the gold pairs (green) travel.
