   Pattern of lace

Bobbins: 14 pairs (10 pairs white and 2 pink)

Style: Bucks Point

Stitches:
   half stitch and twist
   twist
   cloth stitch

Details:
   cloth trail headside (pink)
   honeycomb (green)
   cloth stitch diamond (blue)

Description:

Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. Please note that the loops at the edge are not picots (although you could work them as such if you wanted). They are just made by the workers, twisted, looping round the pin and back again.

The two end pairs are pink. They are workers for the trail headsides, and so colour them. You will need to wind a lot more thread on these bobbins! The first row takes both pairs of workers to the centre, where they work across each other in cloth stitch, pin, and work back again (see joining shapes horizontally).

Picture of doll lacemaker

The pattern was inspired by the lace that this doll is 'making'. It is not the same, but has a similar feel.
