Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. The inner edge is footsides without passives.

The start is along a diagonal, so one pair starts at each pin. Above, I have marked where the pairs actually start. It is a bit tricky to have false starting pins for this pattern, as there aren't many pins in a scallop headside. You don't want to put in new pinholes for the false starting pins, as you are going to reuse this part of the pattern as you go round again, and they will confuse you.
I used the green pair (metallic) as the workers for the scallops. They don't join the Torchon ground at all (use cloth stitch and twist, pin, cloth stitch and twist, where the scallops join, to ensure the green pair stay as workers). I also used two silver pairs, one at each edge.

This was an attempt to get the idea behind pattern 320 working. I made the pattern smaller, with stiffer (plastic) thread. In fact the pattern above was too small, so I enlarged it in the print. It ended up too stiff, and needs to be pulled out to make a helix. It was supposed to curl tigher, and droop downwards to look like a Christmas tree. It didn't exactly turn out that way! Never mind. It's still quite pretty.
