
This is an experiment in making cloth stitch and half stitch flowers. The petals are a bit square, but I think it works!

There are short plaits before and after the centre of the flowers, because two pairs leave the top petal and then start the centre, or two leave the centre to start the bottom petal.
Some of the stitches in the Bucks Point net follow the pattern of honeycomb or Kat stitch, but using Bucks Point stitches (half stitch and two twists). The reason for this is to produce open areas near the solid areas, which allows more pairs inside the solida areas, making them denser.
