Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
The dragonflies are made with gimps. You need two to surround each side of the dragon fly. I have actually used four, two for the body and two for the wings, so I could make them different colours. There are also two gimps to surround the flower. The flying dragonfly does need all four gimps active at the same time, as the head must be started before the wings, and the rest of the body continued afterwards.
I have made the four dragonflies to have different coloured bodies, all sparkly thread, with paler sparkly thread for the wings. (This doesn't show up well in the photos! Better in real life.) The flower gimps are both the same. Since the gimps are started and finished for each item, you can vary the colours or keep them the same as you please. If the wings and body of the dragonfly are the same colour, then you only need two gimps.
I have made the flower to have a half stitch centre. You can have a cloth stitch centre if you prefer.
