This is an attempt to recreate a 3-D cube pattern in lace (see above). See also pattern 169 and pattern 235.

Pattern:

Bobbins: 18 pairs
Style: Bucks Point experimental
Stitches:
half stitch and twist
twist
cloth stitch
cloth stitch and twist
picot
Details:
Bucks Point net (grey)
honeycomb (green)
cloth stitch diamond (red)
picots and passives headside (grey)
Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. The edges are both picots and passives headside. You could replace this by some kind of footside, if you prefer.
This is worked in Bucks Point grid, at 60° to the vertical, which suits the pattern. The 3D cube effect needs three different stitches, to give the three different 'colours' (see top of page). Unfortunately, the Bucks Point net and honeycomb don't give a strong enough vertical line as a border (in the pattern). Not a good effort, I feel! See pattern 169.
