
Pattern 58 is a similar idea, although this flower is easier to work.

Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. The petals of the flower are started like a diamond (rather flat in shape as this is a Bucks Point grid). However, one side carries on while the other narrows, so the shape ends in a horizontal edge. There are some Torchon ground stitches, then the second petal starts with a horizontal edge. It looks tricky, but is fairly easy to work.

The start is along a diagonal, so one pair starts at each pin, and two at the edge. Above, I have marked the position of the false pins.
