Click on the links above to see how to do the different stitches and techniques.
The diamonds are made of cloth stitch. The effects inside the diamonds are all made by doing one or more cloth stitch and twist instead. Any pair involved in these cloth stitch and twists has a twist before the stitch as well.
The top diamond has these cloth stitch and twist at the beginning and end of each row, and, as you can see, they don't really show up!
The second diamond has a single cloth stitch and twist in the middle of the middle row. Remember to do twists on both pairs before the cloth stitch and twist.
The third diamond has both vertical cloth stitch and twists and horizontal cloth stitch and twists (see fourth and fifth diamond).
The fourth diamond has vertical cloth stitch and twists. Do a cloth stitch and twist in the middle of each row, using the middle passive pair each time. Remember to twist the middle passive pair before the first stitch. Remember to twist the worker pair before the stitch in each row. In fact, I did not do these cloth stitch and twists for the first couple and last couple of rows in the diamond, to give an effect of the line occuring in the middle of thhe diamond, rather than two half diamonds.
The fifth diamond has horizontal cloth stitch and twists. Work half the diamond in cloth stitch. Then twist all passives (except the first couple and last couple). Do a cloth stitch and twist for all the passives which were twisted.
