Click here for an introduction to English Midland and plaited lace.
Some of these patterns are English Midland lace. Other patterns are plaited lace, such as Cluny lace or patterns from early lace pattern books. There is also a couple of patterns from Panama. Some are my own experiments, which may have one or two English Midland techniques, but also use other techniques (such as Torchon). These patterns are all worked as strips, straight downwards. Click here for how to work strips. Click here for other shapes. Click here for other patterns.
